Voters can ask the Wilmington candidates
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a candidate forum for Thursday, March 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Wilmington City Hall, 1165 S. Water St.
The public is invited to pose questions to the candidates running for Wilmington City Council, the School District 209-U Board of Education and Island City Park Board.
Voters who have concerns on, say, local government spending, the future of the school district, direction of the park district, can ask questions in written form to the candidates who hope to take office.

After brief introductions by each candidate, the forum will entertain questions from the public. Questions can be written on a 3x5 index card and presented when the doors open at 6 p.m., up until the 6:30 p.m. start, or emailed to Chamber president Wes Smith at wsmith@wilmingtonilchamber.org
